Fish oil? What fish are we talking about here? freshwater? saltwater? and the oil? cold pressed? heat extracted? It seems the good doctors were not promised a luxury cruise by fish oil peddling companies - hence the bad rap. Once things have been patched up between supplement manufacturers and researchers, a new study will show a strong correlation between fish oil consumption and decreased incidence of Heart Disease and Stroke. Follow the money.

Our leach field extends through the pasture. I can not see any difference in the area over the leach field and on either side of that area. But, I do agree with his statements.

Best to plant vetiver grass "the miracle grass" over that septic field. Vetiver roots go down to as much as 3 meters and is widely used for cleaning leachates in landfills and it's also used to clean heavily polluted rivers. The best part? Fish oil can be highly oxidized (especially at room temperature )and rancid. Polyunsaturated fats are very unstable and prone to free- radical oxidation and subsequent tissue damage. Consume at your own risk.

What is the type fish the oil is extracted?

Does the study say anything about what kind of fish oil they are using? A lot of your omega-3 supplements are using shellfish. In general, shellfish is bad for us. Even God tells us not to eat of the city unless it's finned and scaled. Sardines are good example of a place to collect or consume high amounts of omega-3. Just food for thought :-)

In a ergressin analysis, all data points "remain in the pot", hence not allowing for non-linear relationships. The bigger the N the more nonsense is accumulated in the "meta" study. Define ‘Fish Oil’ for us please. You seem to be implying that ALL fish oil is exactly the same when there are HUNDREDS if not thousands of fish oil supplements on the market. Some have almost no DHA or EPA in them. There are so many different sources. Wild Alaskan Salmon Fish Oil? Is it from Sardines? Krill maybe? Is it contaminated with mercury?? Too many variables. And Far to vague to be relevant.

The seas are so polluted by heavy metals. And the job of the liver is to remove stuff from the blood that should not be there, so poisons and metals concentrate in the liver compared to the rest of the body. Maybe this is a factor?
